Illini Homecoming

5:05:00 AM

A little extra info about me: I am an extremely PROUD Alumni of my Alma Mater,
University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign. Last weekend my husband found tickets to the homecoming game against Wisconsin and a tailgate pass for super cheap and we actually got to go back for our first game since college! Football games have always been one of my fondest memories from my time at U of I; I definitely teared up a few (or 10) times at the game!

Another cool factoid: my cousin, A. Wilks, is ROCKING IT OUT on the track team throwing javelin and won a championship last spring! The team was announced on the field before half time and they all received rings for their hard work. Pretty impressive, huh? I can't wait to see how next season goes for the track & field team and attend a few meets!

If anyone reading plans to head to Illinois campus any time soon, PLEASE see a football game. Or any sport, really. Even if we lose, you will always have a good time. As for other things to do around campus, the possibilities are pretty endless on Green Street or you could always drive out the Curtis Apple Orchard which is really amazing. That will be on the docket for next year's trip since it will be all closed up soon for the winter season!

I hope you all had a great weekend and enjoy being half way through the week!
